Junior High School (Grade 7-9)

The junior high program bridges the transition from foundational learning to higher-level thinking. Students deepen their knowledge in core subjects while being introduced to additional areas such as art and craft, digital literacy, reading, health sciences and STEAM. At this stage, learners are guided to think more critically, work more independently, and prepare for the West African Examination Council (WAEC) exams, which serves as a partial measure of student performance.

A Day in the Life of a Junior High Student (Grades 7–9)

Junior high students begin their day with assembly sharing announcements, singing the national anthem, recite school affirmation, and setting goals for the day ahead.

Morning classes cover core subjects such as English, Mathematics, and Science. Teachers combine traditional instruction with group work, interactive discussions, and technology-based learning to spark engagement.

After a short break, students continue with Social Studies and related subjects, connecting Liberia’s history, geography, and civic values to real-life issues.

Lunch is a time to recharge, build friendships, and share stories.

Afternoons are dedicated to digital literacy, project-based learning, and electives such as arts, music, or art and craft. Sports and physical education balance the day, promoting health and teamwork.

The school day often ends with reflection or club activities such as debate, drama, or community service helping students develop confidence and leadership skills.
