Who We Are

Founder’s Message

Welcome to Education First Academy (EFA) — where our belief in the power of education

drives everything we do.

Education First, Inc., the parent organization of EFA, was founded with a simple but powerful

vision: to make quality education accessible to every child, no matter their background or

circumstance. We believe that education is the most transformative tool we can offer — one that

opens minds, builds character, and empowers young people to create lasting change in their lives

and communities.

At Education First Academy in Harper, Liberia, this vision comes to life each day. Our Academy

provides a student-centered learning environment where academic excellence meets creativity,

innovation, and character development. From kindergarten through high school, our students are

encouraged to think critically, act responsibly, and dream boldly — becoming confident,

compassionate leaders ready to make a difference in the world.

EFA is more than a school. It is a family, a community, and a movement of hope. We are deeply

grateful to our dedicated teachers, supportive parents, and committed partners who share our

dream of transforming education in Liberia.

Thank you for believing in this mission and for walking alongside us. Together, we are shaping

the next generation of thinkers, problem-solvers, and leaders who will build a brighter future for

our nation.

Warm regards,

Dr. Blidi Stemn

Executive Director & Founder

Mission Statement

At Education First Academy, we embrace a “Total Child” approach to education. We are dedicated to developing learners who are not only academically strong, but also emotionally resilient, socially responsible, and physically healthy.

Our programs go beyond textbooks engaging students in hands-on, makerspace learning that fosters creativity, problem-solving, and independence. Through this approach, we prepare every child to become self-sufficient, confident, and ready for success beyond the classroom.

Vision

We envision a society where every child and youth in rural and underserved communities across Liberia has access to innovative, high-quality, and affordable education supported by well-trained and dedicated teachers who inspire lifelong learning and leadership.
